# Download Link Creator

Get a Kiteworks link to a file that you or colleagues with access can open after signing in.

Calls the Kiteworks MCP get_download_link tool and returns a Kiteworks link that opens the file in a browser. Whoever follows the link must be signed in to Kiteworks and already have access: the link is an address, not a credential, so it is for you and your colleagues, not a public or external share link. Kiteworks records the download against the person who follows the link and refuses files blocked by a virus or DLP scan. Any signed-in Kiteworks user can use it.
