# File Inspector

Size, owner, dates, and fingerprint for one file — Kiteworks MCP's native "get file info".

Calls the Kiteworks MCP get_file_metadata tool directly. Returns a file's name, path, size, created/modified dates, owner, AV/DLP status, and content fingerprint (a full MD5 of the file's bytes). File-only — there is no matching folder-metadata tool; use folder browsing for folders. Native to the Kiteworks MCP server; works today with no plugin installed.
